Sorry again! It wasn’t my battery, it was my internet connection. Anyway, so I told him that yes, I would like to buy him a drink but he insisted no. He said there was no need and that he was fine. I stood there like an idiot staring and smiling at him for a few seconds and noticed he seemed a bit uncomfortable, so I said “I’m really sorry, you must get this all the time.” He said, “No. I don’t actually!” I thought great! I’m different. I’m the one with the guts to talk to him and he was flattered. I hope he was flattered anyway! You’d be flattered if someone just came up to you and tried to buy you a drink because they thought you were wonderful, wouldn’t you?

•November 24, 2008 • Leave a CommentHe was there!!!!!! Oh my god, he was there, and I spoke to him! I stood right next to him and we had a conversation. Sorry – I ought to slow down.
I went to the bar at seven and made sure I sat upstairs near the DJ booth. I didn’t want to miss seeing him come in. Anyway, I was there for about an hour and a half and there was no sign of him. I was getting a bit bored to be honest, his friend wasn’t DJing at this point either, so I thought I’d call my friend Shel and ask her to come join me. She took about twenty minutes to arrive, and by this time it was quite loud, so we decided to sit downstairs for a while. We’d just got a drink and sat down when I saw him at the bar. Shel thought I’d gone crazy. I was rambling on about someone at the bar and that I had to go talk to them. She had no idea what I was talking about. But once I’d scrabbled around in my bag for my purse I just walked straight up to him. “You must let me buy you that drink for all the hours of pleasure you have given me.” I said this to the back of his head! I’m so relieved he didn’t hear me properly because, in hindsight, it was such a terrible line, but he had heard some of it. He turned around, “You what? You want to buy me a drink?”

•November 24, 2008 • Leave a CommentYesterday it was not to be. It turns out I had the wrong night but thankfully it’s tonight! I’m so glad I’m still here. You may be wondering why I’m so sure he’ll be there?’ Well, I’m not, I’m just making an educated guess. I’ve done my research – I know he lives in a satelllite town near here, no address though, so that’s why I have to think more laterally. His friend is due on around eight so I think there is a possibility he may be there early to help set up or to have a few drinks before, and this time I know what I’m wearing. And I even have a few opening lines. I have to make a good impression and not scare him off. Not so easy I know, but I’ll give it a go. Fingers crossed he’s there.

•November 24, 2008 • Leave a CommentSo, this could be the day I finally meet him. I’m so excited! I’m going to his home town, I’m going to a bar where his friend should be DJing – I love the internet and it’s wealth of information – and I’m staying all weekend so I can try out a few more places too. Wish me luck. I have no idea what I’m going to say if I do see him. Hell, what do I say? What do I wear? What if it doesn’t happen?
